Ο Haney έφερε ως παράδειγμα τον εαυτό του, όταν ένας άντρας φτερνίστηκε στο πρόσωπό του με αποτέλεσμα να καταλήξει στο νοσοκομείο μετά την προσβολή ενός αερομεταφερόμενου βακτηριακού ιού που επηρέασε το δεξί του πνεύμονα. Οι γιατροί είπαν τότε στον Lee Haney ότι αν δεν ήταν σε καλή φυσική κατάσταση, θα μπορούσε ενδεχομένως να είχε υποστεί σοβαρότερες επιπλοκές η υγεία του.

Our nation is in danger of the very freedoms that sometimes cloud our judgement. I’m speaking of wearing face mask. I understand that being forced to do so is a violation of our freedoms. However, most of us would agree that when it endangers the health of others, precautionary measures need to be put in place.
Case in point, two years ago, while leaving one of my favorite family restaurants, a man openly sneezed directly in front of me. He had no time to cover his face, nor did I have an opportunity to avoid it. As I walk past him, I thought to myself,

However, 24 hours later,
I was in the emergency room with bone chilling shakes. According to the Dr. who saw me, I contracted a airborne bacterial virus that effected my right lung. He put me on a Z Pack and anti-biotics for treatment. He said that because of my fitness, it wasn’t more serious. It’s quite possible, that a face mask could have prevent that episode from happening . In a few days, I was back training again. However, I was left with a $900 medical bill created by someone else.
In this particular environment, It may have played out differently. This COVID-19 is extremely dangerous and unforgiving.
Family, please wear your face mask, use hand sanitizers, and practice social distancing as recommended by the CDC and WHO. Let’s do the right thing and lay aside our pride, just to prove a point. Your family, your friends, your community, and the world is depending on is to keep revolving. As Forrest Gump would say “that’s all I got to say about that”[/quote]
