What a great night with @mrolympia08 and @floridafit1 as @shuriecremona and I couldn’t stop laughing at all of the fun we were having. There’s obviously a ton of bodybuilding history between us and although we battled on numerous stages, we are now in a place where we both can have a meal, reflect on those times and truly appreciate each other’s legacy which in my opinion is extremely valuable. Safe travels you two and oh Dexter, we owe each other a badass workout someday in 2020 ok!!! Oh and to Gale, thank you for your support of not only Shurie and I but also for who you are to Dexter and your family as it does take someone with strong character to uphold, uplift and love men like us. Well guys today marks yet another year commemorating my decision taken wayyyy back in my old college house to become a bodybuilder. On October 8th, 2002, I realized I needed to recognize that although my days of playing basketball at the @uofdenver were over, that I had another “gift” which I could focus on which in fact was creating some muscles very rapidly. Thank God for having great family genetics, but also the drive to pursue something I clearly knew very little about. I took a pic that October in 2002 which someday I will share with you all but until then, feast your eyes on the cool yet humorous illustration of General Phil Heath, “the most interesting bodybuilder in the world” haha. Ok ok I’m playing around here as I’m also handsome, especially according to @shuriecremona but seriously seriously, here’s a great image which @svdair made of me so I decided to repost it. Anyway, I’m thankful for making these last 17yrs something that I will always remember and show gratitude for as it was truly me NOT being good enough to play at the next level in basketball which the Lord gave me BODYBUILDING!!! I’m excited for my new endeavors and I wish you all the best in pursuing yours.
