The consumption of several cups of coffee or tea daily appears to protect against heart disease, according to a Dutch scientific research, which lasted 13 years and studied 40,000 people. The research in Professor Yvonne van der Sao, published in the Journal of the American Heart Association, according to the BBC, concluded that people who drink more than six cups a day reduced by one third the risk of heart disease to while those who drink two to four cups of coffee have also decreased risk by 20%.

While the benefit stops when consumption exceeded the four cups of coffee a day, yet even those who drink more, it is more likely to die from any cause, eg cancer or stroke, compared with those who do not drink any coffee.

Coffee, according to scientists contains substances that theoretically both increase and decrease the risk for heart, because that one can raise the cholesterol level and, on the other, to fight the inflammation associated with heart failure . However, as noted on the protection of the heart play a role in many other factors. For example, a cigarette in coffee, may cancel out the benefit of any of the heart, while consumption Multilayer cups of tea in front of the TV, but no exercise also disables any benefit that can bring tea.
