Finally, the guilty pleasure of red meat! After years of research, scientists now claim that red meat is not harmful to health, not least as they believed. Exception to this new rule is processed meat.

More than one million volunteers and twenty surveys in ten countries took to reach this conclusion the researchers. More confident than ever, however, explain to meat lovers that they risk the chops and steaks. What we have to watch is the sausage and bacon.

You many years to believe that red meat is responsible for cardiovascular disease and type 2 diabetes, but experts have discovered that the meat does not pass certain treatments are innocent. Dangerous for our health is only when consumed in processed forms, such as bacon, ham and sausages. Although these foods have the same levels of cholesterol and fat ribs, steaks and pork in general, during processing enriched with preservatives with 50% ammonium salt, and four times more salt than the untreated meat.

Thus consuming a daily ration of bacon or sausage is one of 42% more likely to have heart problems and increased risk of 19% will develop diabetes 2. Besides, the treated meat has proved dangerous in the past, since, according to research increases, among others, the risk of developing breast cancer and bowel. Conversely, if someone eats a healthy portion cooked-forever and not on a daily basis-from beef, pork or lamb does not increase the risk of harms.

Doctors report that a small amount of processed meat once a week or less frequently, there is no case in great danger. However, as it may, it is prudent to be careful not only what we eat meat, but in what form.
