Even a cup of strong coffee protects the heart from potentially dangerous arrhythmias, according to a new study. Fri coffee that has repeatedly come to "dock" to cause palpitations, the new study belong to a specific medical Organization Kaiser Permanente in California, which included more than 130,000 people, aged 18-90 years, showed just otherwise. Indeed, according to the findings, the more cups of coffee a person consumed, the better.

Specifically, the consumption of four or more cups of coffee daily was associated with 18% lower risk of hospitalization due to cardiac arrhythmias in both men and women, whether they smoked or not. People who consumed one to three cups of coffee showed a 7% reduced risk of hospital treatment for abnormal heart rhythm compared with those who ate no coffee.

As said lead researcher Dr. Arthur Klatski, the new findings do not prove that coffee protects the heart from abnormal heart rhythm, but there is a link between coffee consumption and the protection of the heart.

According to researcher moderate coffee consumption is likely to help the heart by blocking the action of adenosine, a chemical that causes arrhythmias. Similarly, the connection can be explained by the general profile of people who drink coffee and some who probably exercise more or follow a proper diet.

Dr. Klatski said during a conference of the American Heart Association in San Francisco that the new results do not provide sufficient evidence to dothounsystaseis population on coffee consumption to prevent heart rhythm problems.

Added, however, that these findings indicate that those difficulties had cardiac arrhythmias or an increased risk of not having to abstain from coffee. ’They ensure that people who drink coffee in moderation should not worry that their favorite habit will cause a major problem in heart rate. The scientist did not fail to emphasize, however, that previous studies have shown that excessive coffee consumption may increase the risk of heart problems.

It should be noted that all the people studied, 2% hospitalized because of cardiac arrhythmia-half of those suffering from atrial fibrillation, which if untreated, may increase the risk of heart attack.
